Description: Volunteer AND enjoy the epicness of PRIDE!!Volunteers will walk through the festivities at Civic Center Plaza asking Festival-goers to register for AIDS Walk San Francisco!
Where: Davis Senior Center 646 A Street Davis, CA 95616
What: Time Off for Caregivers, a part of Citizens Who Care, is a social program for frail elders many of whom have dementia or Alzheimer’s. It serves a two-fold purpose: one is to provide a social outlet and companionship for the elders and the other is to provide respite for the elder’s caregivers, giving some needed time off. Each volunteer is paired up with an elder and keeps them company during the day, doing everything from playing board games to listening to stories, even taking a short walk with them and other volunteer and elders. Activities and lunch are provided.
The program depends on volunteers to show the elders a good time, so once you sign up, please commit!
Sutterville Elementary PTA is desperately seeking volunteers for the Summer Splash, a family event!
Volunteers are needed for the following shifts (9-11 [set up], 11-1pm and 1-3pm). Help is needed with staffing arts and crafts tables and carnival games or selling tickets at the door. The tables are outside, bring a hat and sunscreen. Kids will be enjoying unlimited swimming, gigantic blown-up obstacle course, clowns, food, shopping, and performances by famous magician Trevor Wyatt and Sutterville dancers!
Lifeguards and support staff will be provided by the Natomas Racquet Club.
